Study Of Lonworks-based Building Automation Technology

Building automation system (BAS) is a catchall for a sprawling category of control and communication technologies. The LonWorks bus has been popular used in BAS field for its strong opening, compatibility, agility and manipulation.This paper introduces the basic concepts of Intelligent Building and building automation system, analyses the feasibility of applying LonWorks technology to smart building and brings forward a designing scheme of BAS based on LonWorks. In this scheme, the whole BAS is taken as a Lon-network, and node which has some intelligent functions, such as alarm information auto-detecting, telephone auto-dialing and voice-calling. During the node designing of LonWorks control network, a temperature measurement based MiniEVK is designed and tested. Based on these work, do software design for temperature measurement on several nodes which are in Host-based structure.The user interface is built by Delphi which is famous for convenient and DDE sever. Using Access data-base system build a data-base which can be used for inquiring the information of the building users. The two above make up the whole fire-alarm system.Farther more, it is researched on the BAS integration based on the LonMaker&LNS. Illuminate the tools called LonMaker and LNS environment,the frame of the LON network and the process to build the network. At last, discuss the integration of LonWorks and Internet technology.
