Based On The Secondary Development Of Pro / E Die-casting Mold Cad / Cam

Die casting is one of the important methods in materials process engineering. As a critical equipment in the die-casting process, die-casting mould directly determines the qualityof products and the productivity. The task based on the die-casting mould CAD system,which set up by my fellow students. In the paper, The die-casting mould CAD/CAM system is developed by using the MFC of VC++ and the development module Pro/Toolkit on the platform of Pro/E, which can provide an effective tool for users to design and manufacture die-casting mould. It includes three parts: the die-casting mould CAD system, the database of standard parts and mold base in series of die-casting mould , the die-casting mould CAM system.The author studied the development application which based on EMX and Pro/E, and use two methods to create the database of standard parts and mold base in series of die-casting mould. After comparing the actual use, choose the latter as part of the system. It can make standard part become more popular, and the Pro/Engineer more useful.The author built the relations between the models and knowledge in order to rapidly parametric drive the models.And also upbuilt the die-casting mould CAM system,which can predigest the Pro/NC operation. The database of machine tool and tool not only can use absolutely and expansibility,but also can transplant to another system.Set up the frame of die-casting mould CAD/CAPP/CAM system, and basically fulfill the integration of CAD/CAPP/CAM--mainly the transfer and share of data.It is very important to the work afterward.
