Oriented Analysis And Study Of The Plastic Mold Industry Pdm System

Digital information has become the basis on which enterprise's operation depends, with more and more products data, including drawings, specifications and E-mails,are stored in computer. Searching and sharing in such enormous data has become very difficult. Product data management (PDM) is a technology based on information technology, focusing on product and integrating and managing all of the information related to product. PDM technology is one of the fastest developing technologies in CIMS domain in recent years and is an indispensable tool for enterprise information. In this thesis, on the basis of the research and analysis to the PDM technology and considering the project order driving characteristics of plastics mould, an oriented PDM system philosophy for Plastics mould is put forward to solve the existing problems.This thesis, on the basis of analyzing and summarizing the status of the manufacture enterprise inside and outside country, the importance of implementing PDM system in the enterprise is brought forward. Then from the background of PDM technology, the development trend is analyzed and the structure and some important modules of it are systematically introduced. Meanwhile, thesis focuses on PDM detailed functions like data vault & document management, workflow management, and product structure & configuration management. In the meantime, research and the PDM system a little bit related techniques and it carries out in the business enterprise of general route, put forward the system structure of the PDM system which faces to an item management. The process of development and the used method of the whole system are introduced in detail and an oriented PDM system philosophy for Plastics mould is put forward. The thesis discusses basic theory of database, then applied server/client computing model which distributed data management relies on. By ASP and network database technology on Web platform, management of the distributed product data is realized. The development and realization of system management & document management systems are mostly introduced. The finished work is summarized and the deficiencies are pointed out. At last some propositions for the future work are put forward and a future of the PDM system is anticipated.
