| With the emergence of network, the technology of database got a rapid development in the environment of Internet/Intranet. Now it has become an important focus for the database to implement in the Internet/Intranet. Through exploring and researching to the technology of ASP,ADO and ActiveX, my task is to obtain the solution for the database of plastic manufacturing process based on the Web technology.This database whose main purpose is to manage the data about the physical characteristic of plastic is a network database based on the Internet/Intranet. It not only includes the database of plastic materials, but also includes the database of plastic prescriptions, equipments for plastic manufacturing and secondary equipments. In addition, it also includes the information database about manufacturers for plastic productions. Through integrating all kinds of data into the network, queries can complete without the limits of zones, and it will be more effective for resources to share and interact, and the data updating will be more quickly and timely. These data intenerated into the database include varieties,brands,sources,molding technique and all kinds of information for performance and price. Now in the database there are 44 kinds of plastic materials and reagents, and about thousand items of records. With the increasing of materials and the correlative data that can be collected, characteristic of query will be refined day by day. The database can intellectualize compare the information inputted by users, which is the advantageous function offered by the system. As a result, with the selecting materials and equipments quickly and exactly, work efficiency can be improved. At the same time, as an interactive, opening and external database, this system is so flexible that the managing module can timely correspond and save the adding and modification to the new data, which can meet the new requirements for system applications and improve the flexibility of this database. |
