During the annual Spring Festival travel season, traffickers destroy the order of selling ticket and cause a large number of losses of the masses. Although the police have spent a lot of manpower and material to catch these guys, it didn't work well. Because it's difficult to find the evidence to prove the suspect is a trafficker except the one had been caught by police before. It's necessary to build an Identity Authentication system to identify the traffickers.As one of the most excellent identifying methods in biometrics, fingerprint identification's theory and application appeal a lot of interest. Biometrics characterized by fingerprint is an increasing development trend of Identity Authentication, and has promising application in future.As so far, there is no precedent to use the fingerprint identification's theory to identify the traffickers in China. This subject is base on the cooperation with railway station department. And according to the requirement and suggestion from the police, we find a basis which can figure out the traffickers, which is all the traffickers must buy tickets many times during a short time. In this paper, the design of the Identity Authentication system and the functional modules are introduced in detail.In this paper, the design and implementation of the whole system will be introduced in detail as follows.Firstly, the paper describes the background of the fingerprint-based identification technique. Based on it, it analyses the process of the fingerprint identification. Secondly, according to the requirement, the thesis shows the overall design of the system. The whole system has been divided into four function modules, which are Fingerprint Acquisition Module, Fingerprint Identification Module, Network Module, and Fingerprint Database Module. Also the thesis describes the general design of the four modules and gives the solution to deal with the technical difficulties.Finally, the thesis gives the detail design and implementation for each module. In Fingerprint Acquisition Module, this paper displays the process of the fingerprint acquisition and use the application interface provided by SDK to the implement the acquisition of fingerprint. Also it designs a special solution to the exception of the low-quality fingerprint. In the Fingerprint Database module, the paper designs four classes which are based on Object-oriented thinking and shows the function of the four classes. In the Fingerprint Identification Module, combines with the procedure of the identification of fingerprint and the performance optimization, the paper shows the way to design a high performance identification module. In Network Module, the paper shows the how to design and implement the Network Service module.The subject will help a lot in catch the traffickers. Also it will save a large count of manpower and material. Meanwhile it's a meaningful try to use the fingerprint identification technical in the railway station.
