Development And Implementation Of Modem Based On Sca Waveform Applications

As the trend of development of modern radio systems, software radio with the advantages compared with traditional radio systems, such as the abilities of reusable, programmable, and modularization, makes it possible to implement various functions of the radio systems by using different software based on the same hardware.Sofware Communication Architecture (SCA), as one of the open specifications of software radio, makes definitions of the hardware, software, and safe architecture of the software radio. Under the standard software architecture, SCA uses Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) and object oriented design method to enable higher software reusability, lower cost of development, and shorter circle of application of the radio systems. Originally utilized in military field, SCA has started to gain in popularity within the public field with good prospect.The waveform application software is an important part of the development of systems based on SCA. The work of this thesis is to research the development and implementation of the waveform based on SCA. Firstly the architecture of SCA, with emphasis of software architecture is researched. Secondly, the way of waveform development based on SCA is summarized and put forward. Thirdly, the specified modulation and demodulation waveform is researched, and the function of the waveform is analysed. Then the waveform is divided into components through the requirement of SCA. Then the APIs of the components are designed and the data processing functions are developed. Finally, the waveform is loaded and tested in the system based on SCA. In addition, the components are reformed into a new waveform, in order to validate the advantages of waveform development based on SCA, such as the abilities of modifiable and reusable. Those provide a good reference for the waveform development based on SCA.
