With the fast development of communication network and telecommunication technology, the telecom billing system based on traditional mode has already exposed a lot of problem. For example, its load is not balanced. In the face of the increase of the business, the data flow and calculation intensity of the system will increase correspondingly, which causes the decline of systematic performance directly. And its expansibility is very poor. It does not support the wide communication way and develop the business whose demand is clearly and potential. Once the existing mechanism changes, there are difficult to meet telecommunication demand. In allusion to some problems of the telecom billing system at present, on the basis of the research of software architecture and the distributed object technologies, this thesis presents a new type scheme of telecom billing system. The scheme studies the telecom billing system based on CORBA, and gives the designs of the architecture. The architecture has five modules primarily. They are unified intermediate level, data access platform, business treatment module, outside interface module and CORBA. Unified intermediate level can shield the variety of the business and realize the flexible support to the system. Data access platform can realize that the data's store is separated with the business treatment logic, and guarantee that the data's store is independent of the business. Business treatment module can realize the balanced load by connecting on CORBA bus. Outside interface module can fully utilize the characteristic of CORBA, and helps it with the integrating of other systems. As a key module, CORBA is responsible for the connection and communication among every host computer mainly. Then, some theory analysis of the performance of the architecture is given in some aspects.According to the comprehension and analysis of the telecom billing system, the function model of the telecom billing system is given. Its function and business procedure is explained in detail. At the same time, the communication subsystem of the telecom billing system is designed and realized, including the connecting management and the bus of ORB and Smart Agent and the strategy of load balance. Finally, the flow chart of the application is given in detail.
