Service Level Agreement (SLA) is a formal negotiated agreement about the level of the service quality between two parties--service provider and customer. SLA is a management process which involves multi-link and entire life cycle. The execution and assessment phases are very important and the quite difficult. we can find out network performance bottleneck and estimate capability of present network to satisfy service quality, provide idiographic reference data to optimize network by analyzing data of SLA parameter. The development network movement dynamic monitor system which take SLA as the central, already had the intense customer's needs and the good market anticipated. Network topology information is an intuitive abstract of the network and the basic attributes of the network. SLA reflects the performance and level of network carrying business. Through the network topology discovery, we find that the connection between the network elements, certain end-to-end path of the business. SLA parameters for the collection, calculation and analysis based on the topology information. Known network topology, easy grasp the overall situation of network, contribute to rapid positioning network fault and found that network performance bottlenecks. Then introduces the function and significance of network topology management in the system.This paper introduces the management of SLA topology management model, this model entity in accordance with SLA service providers in the value chain where different locations, to provide a different perspective.Monitor topology changes in the structure of topology is an important part of management. This paper proposes a combination of active and passive surveillance strategy topology can be fast and effective inspection topology changes. Topology Discovery carried out both in the traditional system to meet the needs of network management, topology is also found in the surveillance topology change data sources. This paper introduced the system topology management module design. This paper study of various network topology discovery algorithms, which are divided into two parts: network layer topology discovery and link layer topology discovery. On the above algorithm analysis, summed up the advantages and disadvantages of each and the scope of application. With the features of the topology discovery in the system, we improve the algorithm based on SNMP and based on the Address Forwarding Table.Finally, the algorithms were tested, and points out the limitation of them .There is a summary of the work in this thesis and give some opinions on the further study of the topology discovery.
