The Design And Implementation Of Network Topology Discovery System For Zaozhuang Unicom

With the increasing wide range of Internet applications and the rapid growth of Internet-scale, the complexity of its network structure is increasing. Understanding the Internet topology structure has important application value and theoretical significance on Internet performance optimization, ease of maintenance and management, improvement of network security and even the found of the laws of complex systems. Traditional network topology discovery technique is no longer applicable for large-scale network because of the heterogeneity, dynamic, development of non-concentration and large scale of the internet. Internet Topology Discovery technology is facing enormous challenges.This paper focuses on the IP level topology discovery technology, designing and implementing two systems-IP-level topology discovery and analysis system, AS-level topology discovery system and describes some key techniques in the system design and proposes improvements based on the original technology. The main work and contributions are as follows:(1)Mainly analysis and research the key technology of large-scale topology discovery, mainly related to the main method of network topology discovery, exploration target address generation technology, Doubletree algorithm, router aliasing problems, and other key technologies.(2)Implement a practical system under the principle which is devided into two sub-systems: IP-level topology discovery system and IP-level topology analysis system. Highlight the design of the system structure, work flow and work interface. Introduce the design of the database table briefly. Summarize the functions of each module and implementation.(3)Introduce the realization and the design process of the AS-level topology discovery. Firstly, study the processing of the AS data including the data processing of pre-data and the data obtained in detection. Secondly, research the display technology of AS-level topology graph, introduce HypView display module,research the display of the AS-level topology graph. Finally, research the switch between AS-level and IP-level topology graph.(4)At last, elaborate the limitation at this stage of the subject of this research pointing out that there are problems to be improved in Network topology discovery.
