Construction Of The Library's Website Based On User Experience

With the development of the Internet, library is awareness how important is the website construction. To the abundant and random information category, the excessive information structure and the variety of user's requirements, the Information Architecture concept provides a new chance for a library website construction. However, because of an inadequeate understanding to the Information Architecture theory, which causes several problems in a library website construction. Ultimately which leads to user's dissatisfaction to the library website. How organize and design the information and make the user satisfied to use website information resources has become an important thing to a library website construction.Taking the User Experience as a start point, this thesis analyzed the Information Architeture concept again. According to its essence, a new concept was put forward that was the Information Architecture based on User Experience. This thesis analyzed the problem by the survey from the present situation in a library website. Which caused the idea to reorganize and to redesign the information of a library website by the new concept. According to the characteristics of a library website, this thesis also extracted the specific principles and the user experience factors in the Information Architecture of a library website. The main body was that the information of a library website was organized and was designed by the new concept. One complete process about the Information Architecture of a library website based on User Experience was designed. Which included the start research, the strategies generating and conceptual designing, the implementation and the user's management of a library website. Also some important contexts within the process what was designed were researched in detail. This process paid attention to user's full participation and emphasized user's true experience. Above all, a new thought was provided for designing a satisfied library website with more user's experience. At last, this thesis got practice value by the empirical analysis.
