Study, Based On Embedded Linux, Digital Image Transfer Home Security And Monitoring Technology

With the rapid development of embedded system and network communication technology, more information and automatic control are demanded at home. All these are based on smart home network. The smart home should meet many kinds of needs, such as the control to the device, the entertainment, the home security, the remote education and the remote medical treatment,in which the home security is the most important. This paper presents a cheap and powerful digital house monitor,which is built on the ARM-LINUX platform.to realize the remote safety monitoring system. The whole system can be done with less cost.and it is reliable and convenient.At first.the paper introduces the embeded linux system.and analyzes some key technology such as GPRS,TCP/IP and PPP.Then the paper presents a kind of design and structure of the system.And it gives the details for why and how to choose CPU and the other peripheral equipments.After choosing the hardware.the author mentions the software platform and the cross-compile method.Based on the deep research on the scheme,the author finished a sample machine.The paper mainly studies the transmtting and monitoring parts.so its main points are the hardware design of GPRS module and the software of wireless transmitting part.Then ,the paper describes the developing precess of software,especialling the ppp of linux and the socket application.Under lots of experiments, it proves that as soon as the image is getted.it can be transmitted by GPRS, and we can restore the image transmitted in the monitor center Thus.the remote safety monitoring system can be realized.The whole process is between 3 to 5 seconds.Because of the combination of both GPRS and embeded linux system.it resolves the difficulty of the organization of network and the capable of moving and so on.The means of data transmitt is GPRS network of China mobile.The charge based on the flux of data.the scheme is cheaper and more reasonable.The result of experiments demonstrates this scheme has character of stead-ness.reliability.fast data transmitting and cheap.lt fulfilled the sheduled demands.
