Research And Implementation Of AODV Based On Embeded Linux Operation System

Ad Hoc network has a wide application prospect in many fields as its advantage of infrastructureless, self-organizing and invulnerability. Routing is a key technology of Ad Hoc network. A lot of routing protocols such as AODV are drafted for the Ad Hoc network. However, the research of routing protocol in Ad Hoc network is only focused on stimulation and there is little correlative product till now. In order to speed up the pace of productify, the paper analyses and researches on the routing protocol of AODV, and implement AODV algorithm in embeded Linux system. The paper introduces the advantage and the key technology of Ad Hoc network, analyses the difficulties of routing protocol on network layer firstly. And then, researches on the operation of AODV protocol in detail, analyses the interfaces in embeded Linux system and the network structure, puts forward the detail implementation scheme of AODV protocol, implements AODV routing algorithm on an ARM development board.Based on the implementation of AODV algorithm, a test environment of Ad Hoc network is established in the lab using 802.11b network card as transmission equipment, and the functions and performance of AODV algorithm is tested in the environment. The test result indicates the good performance of AODV arithmetic and the requirement of voice and data communication could be satisfied.
