With the development of modern anti-aircraft warfare, it's highly recommend that we must research on how to improve our battle effectiveness in the limited condition. Simulation technology has been applied more and more widely to the research of air defense driven by the improvement of computer simulation technology.The high level architecture (HLA) of distributed and interactive simulation and advanced simulation tools (STAGE, Vega) has been combined to the study for air defense simulation. A distributed and interactive air defense simulation system is designed and developed, and some important aspects in the system are described also.On the basis of analysis the background of air defense simulation, the structure of simulation system is constructed and the development tools are chooses. According to the rules of HLA and steps of Federation Development and Execute Process (FEDEP), the federation conceptual model, the federation object model and federate are designed. After the air defense analyzed, the conceptual model and mathematics modeling of the air defense are given in the paper. The directing and adjusting system is designed and realized by the STAGE, and the three-dimension visual of simulation system is designed after the 3-dimensional geometric object model is discussed.The index system of integrated effectiveness, function frame of evaluation, realization steps of simulation and the method for analyzing and evaluating the index is discussed in the paper. The evaluation of air defense is evaluated by the method of Fuzzy-Analytic Hierarchy Process and Efficacy Influence Function.
