Research On The Simulation And Test Environment For The C3I System

C3I (Command, Control, Communication and Intelligence) which is called command automation, is the production of modem high-tech development and the advanced stage of military command. With the development of modern technology , the C3I system becomes more and more complex. How to develop, exploit, integrate and test it becomes a research hotspot now.The simulation technology has already became a key means for large-scaled complex system to be analyzed, researched , developed, tested, explored and trained, and was especially widely used in the martial information system.The simulation and test(S&T) technology as a key means of the research, development, exploiture, integration and test of C3I system, goes through the whole lifetime of C3I system. During the research, development, exploiture, integration and test of C3I system, some questions will be confronted for example how to enhance the verisimilitude, reality and accuracy of simulation, how to improve the efficiency of the modeling and simulation, how to improve the simulated system's architecture, how to meliorate information collecting, processing and delivering and system testing and so on.Domestic and overseas researches and applications of C3I system's simulation technology and environment are analyzed and investigated in the paper, at the same time on the basis of deep analysis of existent simulation method of C3I system, problems emerged in the testing are discussed and expatiated by means of test bed to simulate and test C3I system . A simulation and test environment(S&TE) for C3I system was designed. The system developed the scenario secondly basing on the STAGE which is the COTS software, generated the visual war space, and resolved the problems which were the verisimilitude of the S&TE and modeling of the simulated entities. A method used to collect simulated data and replay the records was put forward. At the same time a means of testing the functions and performance of the C3I system was given. They were realized . At last the application of S&TE for the C3I system to HLA was presented.
