This research paper is based on the emission characteristics test system for a valvecathode. The test system can conduct automatic test on emission characteristics of valvecathode and achieve performance test data to assist User to realize performanceimprovement of valve cathode. The author is contributed to the development of pulsepower supply for this test system.In this article, design scheme of pulse power supply, design and realization of thecharge power supply and pulse switch are described first. On basis of operation principleanalysis of serial resonance zero-current full-bridge switch, design procedures for powersupply and calculation method of resonance parameters are presented, analysis andverification on load short-circuit resistance of power supply and constant-current chargecharacteristics of the capacitor is also conducted.Then design of the pulse switch is discussed. Engineering problems such asdynamic/static equalization of solid-state switches in serialization application, triggeringsynchronization of solid-state series switches, leading/lagging edge control of pulsevoltage waveform, current limit of series circuit are analyzed and resolved throughsimulation and experiments.Finally, research efforts are concluded in this paper and perspective of serialresonance charging and solid-state switch serialization technology in radar application isalso presented.
