Technology Based On Web Services And Grid Of Heterogeneous Data Exchange

With the rapid development of Internet, the network is gradually becoming an important means of information convey and exchange. How to integrate and exchange data among heterogeneous databases all over the world by Internet, named to construct Internet-based information integration and exchange system, has attracted wide attention as hot research area. Building on the broad acceptance of XML related technologies, it was regarded as a fact standard for data exchange between heterogeneous systems. Web services are applications that use standard transports, encodings, and protocols to exchange information. With broad support across vendors and businesses, Web services enable computer systems on any platform to communicate over corporate intranets and across the Internet with support for end-to-end security, reliable messaging, distributed transactions, and more. OGSA-DAI is a middleware product which supports the exposure of data resources, such as relational or XML databases, on to grids. Various interfaces are provided by web services and many popular database management systems are supported. So, we introduce XML, web Services and OGSA-DAI to study data exchange and integration among heterogeneous databases.In this paper, we design and develop a data exchange model by doing an in-depth study to XML, web services and OGSA-DAI related technologies and analyzing popular data exchange model, design a data exchange model between heterogeneous databases based on XML and web services technology. We introduce architecture, middle data exchange standards, transformation, data transfer and the function of each module on the model, and so on. At the same time the paper also describe in detail how to design and implement the prototype system based on OGSA-DAI.
