With the fast developing of information construction, the cooperation and information sharing between application systems in the enterprise become more and more important. When enterprise develops various application systems, because of considering specific information requirements, leads to these application systems having inconsistent environments, lacking of a unified data format and the unification of data transfer mechanism, which make these application systems be difficult to realize data exchange and sharing. Therefore, the data exchange platform based on ontology and Web Services is studied to solve these problems in data exchange between application systems, which aims at achieving efficient and transparent data exchange and information sharing between these systems.Firstly, the present research situations of data exchange are introduced, and the main problems existing in the data exchange process are analyzed. According to the demand of data exchange between application systems, the overall framework of data exchange platform based ontology and Web Services is given.Besides, the components of this framework and the work process of data exchange platform are described in detail.Then, the key techniques of the framework including data exchange model construction based on ontology and data exchange components design based on Web Services are deeply researched. According to the characteristics of data exchange achieving, a method of data exchange model construction based on ontology is presented and the mapping rules from the relational database schema to local data source ontology are defined. At the same time, mapping relation between local data-source ontology is established and the solution to the conflict problem which appears on the process of data exchange is given. According to the data transmission transparency between application systems and the transparency of accessing the data source, data exchange components based on Web Services are designed and a variety of services interfaces for achieving data exchange are described in detail.Lastly, combined with the application background of a military industrial enterprise special project, the data exchange platform based on ontology and Web Services is presented, which provides an effectual method to achieve data exchange and sharing between application systems of enterprise.
