File Historical Ties To Practice Model

For a long time past, sorting of archives is the core of archival practice. For the practical development of archives sorting and understanding process of archives sorting principle, historical context become the most important concept absolutely. The reason is that historical context is the key which distinguish archives and books and intelligence. Archives embody natural organic relationship which is corresponding with social practical development.First, this paper analyzes some concept which relate with study of historical context model, such as the relationship of file, historical context, the record of historical context.After that, this paper review historical clue of historical context sorting. We analyze respectively historical context sorting in the Republic of China and establishment of our country and 1980s. We study the corresponding relationship between archives sorting and historical context to summarize different means of sorting and historical context model. At last, we sum up linear model of historical context sorting in traditional archival practical condition and record of historical context.Then we discuss the theoretical transformation because of binary archival practice. The new archival practice leads to not only technical transformation in archival management, but theoretical and principle transformation of traditional archival management. Face with some characteristics, we study the significance of keep historical context for electronic archives and the means of building historical context. The historical context of electronic archives is only be set up and record by description in moving process of electronic archives. At the same time, we discuss the relationship between historical context of electronic archives and metadata and put forward opinion about how describing historical context of electronic archives by metadata.At last, the paper analyzes the differences between the rational views of historical context and technical means. Furthermore, we put forward opinion about how to set up three-dimensional model of historical context.
