| Against a background of university administration and based on a study of active information from both teaching and learning, with the aid of the data ware house environment, the present thesis provides a profound exploration into, and significant attempt on the mode and means of teaching quality evaluation in an effort to offer a supportive route for the administrative decision-making in university.After the introduction of the basic concepts and ideas of ware house, data mining and On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP), as well as the discussion of the mining techniques and approaches for the most common used data, the thesis then tries to establish the preliminary data warehouse-based system model for teaching quality evaluation with the investigation into, and the analysis of, the teaching quality evaluation performance; under the circumstances of the teaching effects of computer literacy course, the thesis also researches on the application that supports additional decision making; and finally, by employing OLAP relational based data bank, the function of the Multi-Dimension Data Model is applicably fulfilled.The research on the application has selected , as a sample, the computer literacy course that students were learning from 2004 to 2006, as well as from other data related, and based on the teaching reality, the vector for basic features and variety for purposes that may influence sample analysis are determined while the data warehouse mainly accommodating teaching quality evaluation is established, and with this, a separated research is conducted on the approaches to the data mining features and analysis made for various factors that may give impact on teaching quality.As is practically indicated, the general research approaches proves to be feasible; and the result of data mining is considerably significant for guiding the teaching of sample course as well as for teaching management; the research methods herein may serve as reference for the evaluation of teaching quality. |
