With the modern technical development, a new requirement for radar transmitter is presented: high integration, high performance and high performance miniature. But the traditional technology for transmitter design can't satisfy this requirement. It is urgent to develop miniature transmitter with new technology.MCM technology is the best approach up-to-date for transmitter's design to realize miniature, high integration and high performance. It is significant to develop MCM research because MCM technology research is accord with the trend of transmitter development. Our research developed a linear frequency modulation (LFM) pulse transmitter based on the MCM technology successfully. The major work includes:1. Accomplish the project assignment according the system requirement. Set the main technical parameters of transmitter, and finally proposed the realizable scheme for the transmitter based nowadays microwave device development level and the technological condition our unit possessed.2. Design the pre-amplifier and modulator base on the simulation.3. Design the power amplifier base on the simulation.4. Design the transmitter base on the former research.5. Realize MCM technics for the transmitter and its models.At last, developed a LFM pulse transmitter with miniature volume and high performance. The transmitter satisfies the system requirement and shows the advantage of the MCM technology in some degree.
