Fpga-based Multi-function Infrared Remote Control Design

The development of IT technology let the new wiring appear in the market; and people also can pay for the new wiring because of the advance of standard of living of them. May be you have many wirings in your family, then you will feel trouble to control them because of lots of IR remote control instruments. In this time the multifunctional IR remote control instrument which can control all wirings is your need. But the realization of multifunctional IR remote control instrument is MCU in the current market,that will make it high-priced. So a new design of multifunctional IR remote control instrument which was realized by FPGA or ASIC was presented in this paper.This paper discussed how to use logic to realize the multifunctional IR remote control instrument based on ROM and EEPROM and the design of the whole system is mainly discussed. It also discussed the arithmetic which how to quickly find the target controlling code. For reducing the system power expenditure a new way was used in this paper. This way made the IR remote control instrument work or not when some key was pressed or not.To the all function modules of the multifunctional IR remote control instrument, a detailed discussion and the graphics of the modules were given in this paper. The primary circuit of the multifunctional IR remote control instrument was also discussed in this paper.That made the whole system more clear. In the end of paper, the surrounding circuit of the design and the way how to test the system were discussed. I found the system can't make through the testing but the single function module can do. Having this trouble I mended the Send_data module of the design, the testing was succeed in the last.
