With the car in people’s lives growing popularity, the city is facing a serious problem oftraffic congestion, which making automated and efficient traffic management is increasinglybecoming a major problem to be solved. In this case, the image detection technology andpattern recognition technology more and more attention has been paid, when applying anddeveloping the intelligent transport systems has become a major measure of the current trafficand efficient management, where the intelligent traffic of intersection control and therecognition technology of license plate play an important role in intelligent transportationsystem.The paper mainly studies about multifunction intelligent control system of trafficintersection. This system is a control and monitoring system, which is based on the intelligentcontrol, fuzzy control, the recognition technology of license plate and the remote datatransmission of GPRS. By remote control, user-friendly interface to monitor and achievereal-time monitoring of intelligent control of the vehicle. This paper for the intelligent trafficintersection system designs the dual system about the master controller+the secondarycontroller of the fuzzy controller, the role of which is to keep the main controller of each lanein each direction for maximum saturation, which can reach the maximize of road capacity,while the auxiliary the role of the controller is the main controller of the delay time to makeamendments to the green, making the main traffic flow to reduce the number of stops.Intelligent transportation system of the problem intersection fuzzy controller exists, we usegenetic algorithms to optimize the membership function of the secondary controller, theexperimental results prove that the system uses genetic algorithm to optimize control aftermore visible and effective. Meanwhile you can easily achieve the interconnection ofinformation vehicle information, vehicle information recording and red light violationpressure line vehicle information to achieve multi-functional design of the traffic intersection.Finally, using LabWindows/CVI design intelligent traffic intersection system monitoringinterface, not only to facilitate real-time monitoring road traffic conditions, traffic conditionsand can according to real-time control scheme regulation, and to facilitate the effectivemanagement of vehicle control and management.This paper designed intelligent control and monitoring system of traffic junctions,combing fuzzy control technology, license plate recognition technology and the remote datatransmission technology of GPRS, which achieved a traffic intersection of the intelligent andthe multi-functional systems, which provided the effective approaches and innovative ideas toease traffic pressure and improve the traffic situation.
