Personalized Recommendation System Based On Ontology Of User Modeling Research

Information service issues such as "information overload", and "resources to thecrowds" are increasing due to rapid development. One method of overcoming theseissues are Personalized Information Systems designed to achieve personalized andintelligent service functions.Improved personalized information recommend action service s require advancedmethods of representing user's interests and demands, which using a method called"User Modeling". To address the shortcomings of traditional user modeling methods, mypapers introduce an Ontology-based User Modeling:First, this paper introduces the current research of recommended systems and usermodeling. Then, the paper described a specific user modeling theory and user modelingprocess involves the methods and techniques. After comparing the advantages anddisadvantages of current ontology-based user modeling methods, this paper proposed itsown ontology based user model methods: Ontology-based User Model Tree Methods. Atlast the paper concludes with a prototype system that displays the functionality andbenefits described above.
