The paper mostly researches arithmetic of TS seamless splicing. In the base ofsplicing on the boundary of GOP, we give a method that splicing in the GOP in orderto reduce delay.Many people have discussed splicing which is performed on the boundary ofGOP. This method may cause delay between command and action, and this situationis forbidden in some application.In seamless splicing, the adjustment of PCR, PTS/DTS is very important. We candeal with those fields with software programme, but it can't satisfy real-time request.In the paper, we design a hardware system to slove the problem.The paper gives arithmetic of seamless splicing, which has been validated with Csourse program. The paper successfully solves the problem of the point of splicing.The first program is cut in GOP, and the GOP of second program is picked up anddisposed ahead. Besides, we modify PAT, PMT and PID of video or audio TS packets.The spliced program can be played by player smoothly. Also, we design a hardwaresystem using Verilog HDL language and schematic files. Via software simulation andhardware debugging, we finish the task of real-time adjustment of fields ofcontinuity_counter, PCR and PTS/DTS, achieving the aim of transmitting TScontinuously and circularly.
