Time-delay process is very common in industry production and difficult to control, which seriously affect industrial production. Many scholars are dedicated to improving and solving this problem. In heat conduction oil furnace control system, PLC is used as controller and PC configuration software is used to monitor and control. But in the control system, temperature control with a typical large time-delay characteristics make conventional PID control difficult to achieve satisfactory control effect.Through the analysis of several algorithms by overcoming the large time-delay characteristic, a fuzzy internal model control system is designed by combining fuzzy control and internal model control, which internal model control design is simple, regulation performance, capable of overcoming the big lag problems, eliminate the influence of unmeasured disturbance, but more stringent requirements for the model, and fuzzy model does not require precise mathematical model, but less effective for big time-delay with a steady-state error. Combining fuzzy and IMC control, a fuzzy IMC PID control is designed using their advantages.Three simulation model, conventional PID, fuzzy PID and fuzzy IMC PID model are established in simulation software MATLAB. Three control effect of the algorithm were compared after simulating. The simulation results show that the fuzzy IMC PID algorithm and fuzzy PID algorithm has obvious advantages compared with conventional PID algorithm:more responsive, less regulation time, smaller overshoot, higher accuracy and stability, anti-interference ability and stronger robustness. Meanwhile, the simulation results also confirm that compared with fuzzy PID algorithm, fuzzy internal model PID algorithm has better control performance and achieve better control effect.Finally, the fuzzy IMC PID model is applied to the actual control system, and a satisfied control effect is obtained.
