This paper first introduces the actulity and the developing direction of large-power EAF's smelt procedure. Besides it analyses the importance of this item.Aimed at the characters of large-power EAF's smelt procedure, the paper presents an intelligence control system , introduces control theory and technology and adopts three steps control mode: proceeding stage, control stage, driver stage. The control system is made of double closed loops: the inner current loop and the outer temperature loop, and satisfies the EAF's temperature need and three phase current balance . Temperature loop adopts intelligence control technology ,such as fuzzy control , neural network, expert control; and current loop introduces expert coupling control and fuzzy control of three phase current .This system assures three phase current balance and temperature stabilization.Based on these scheme established, the hardware and software design scheme of EFA are determined. A system which is made up of periphery modules and focuses on industy control computer is found. This paper elaborated the design of the system's software and its key technics.Paper also presents the actual operation result of the installation designed using schemes above. Experiment result shows that this installation has great superiority, have vast application prospect.
