Free Newspaper Study Of Its Development Path In The Mainland

As an important phenomenon of the newspaper industry in recent 10 years, the rising of free newspaper in the whole world is worth researching for us. The new media's product is developing very quickly in many countries and regions, which tells us the free newspaper has an expansive living space and vigorous vitality.On the face of it, free newspaper and traditional newspaper has a common media form and the only difference between them is that one is "free" and another is "not free". As a matter of fact, the difference in the distribute pattern directly cause the differences on readers' orientation, advertising management, news editorial business and other aspect between them. Free newspaper bringing forth new ideas to journalism management will promote traditional newspaper industry to expand quickly. It also brings about an overturning challenge to the traditional conception of the newspaper management.The thesis has two main parts. The first part discusses some basic issues about free newspaper phenomenon, including the elementary characteristic of free newspaper and the relationship between the two kinds of newsprint. Part one also gives an overall summarization about the development of free newspaper in different countries at present. The second part of the thesis is about free newspaper's growth in China. According to the theory of media strategy management, considering political, economic, social and cultural factors, part two analyzes the possibility of free newspaper's development in China. At last, the thesis provides some proposes for specific strategy of free newspaper's growth in China.
