Smart Client Technology-based Collaborative Office Platform Design And Research

The development of Internet communication technology changes the way of people work, and makes new applications possible. It also creates the need for organizations to work cooperatively. This article, based on the technology of Computer Support Cooperative Work (CSCW), discusses the possibility of cross-platform cooperation work by using smart client technology, which can increase the knowledge sharing within a work team.This article applies the concept and principle of CSCW to product (Cooperative Office platform System) design. By focusing on the cooperative office environment, analyzing the purpose and flow of the cooperative office system and producing the system function unit design, and combining the advantages of smart client technology in cooperative office area, this article issues a cooperative office system structure which has the features of repeatable, low coupling, expansible and customized. The platform structure that we discuss in this article is composed of base platform, information sharing platform, integration platform, information management platform and cooperative work platform, which can help realize the most freedom in business extension, flow adjusting, information display and man-machine alternation. The design of the system is finished and two application examples of this platform are illustrated, which proves the convenience, practicability and advance of this system.From the aspects of analyze and design, this article gives the definition, planning and design of the cooperative office platform.The final achievement of this article includes the planning and design of the cooperative office platform based on smart client technology.
