San Environment, Research And Development Of High-availability File System Backup Program

With the rapid growth of data information, excessive available data are produced. So how to enhance the availablility, how to guarantee the data validity and how to protect the security and the integrity become the key step in data processing. At present, Storage Area Network (SAN) is easy to manage, and it has strong expansibility, good fault-tolerance ability, and high usability. It's also agile to configurate and support iso(?)erism servers. For these advantages, SAN has resolved many problems such as high dependability of data, security of data and storage performance, and has been used in establishing storage system.SAN has been widely used as a storage technology, and it still has a bright prospect. As effective management should have the supports of storage management software, the software is more and more important in storage system. Furthermore, as the basis of storage system, the backup and res(?)orage of datas are core functions of storage management software. The author took part in the designing and developing of the storage management software in SAN environment, and has profound comprehension of the strorage technology and its foreground.The main works of this thesis are data backup and highly usability. Nonstop data backup software which is a NonStop Backup File System is designed and implemented. The main work and achievements are:1. Research and design the module of nonstop backup system, including designing the relationships in the system and the whole storage management system.2. Research and implement the module of Freeze function on Vxfs file-system.3. Research and implement the module of redundancy path's management, mount and unmount function.4. Research and implement ATG function.
