The maintenance of complex equipment plays an important role in the exertion of equipment efficiency and the use of equipment. To satisfy the requirement of maintenance, the heterogeneous product information integrate model based on XML is studied, and then the equipment failure affair management system based on reusable component is built.In the paper, firstly the status of equipment failure affair management in the service department of the complex equipment enterprise is analyzed. The main function of equipment failure affair management system is concluded based on the equipment failure affair management operation and the demand of user. Then the main function model of equipment failure management system is set up.Secondly the information model of equipment failure affair management system is set up by optimizing the flow of equipment failure affair treatment. The system database is established based on the information model.Thirdly the information integrate model is built to provide a solution for information integration. On the ground of the information integrate model between equipment failure affair management system and other information systems, XML is applied to achieve the information integration among the cells of the enterprise.Finally the reusable component of the equipment failure affair management system is developed with ORACLE as the database management system and .NET as the development platform. The function modules of the equipment failure affair management system are realized and the system is constructed based on the function modules. The system has been successfully running in two State-Owned Enterprises.
