Embedded systems are more and more used in the field of instrument for automatic control. Furthermore, it also makes rapid progress in some fields, such as process control instrument, and so on. However, there are some special requirements in some special fields because of standardization of factory is not reach such a high-level, for instance, heater, beer ferment, glass stove, heat treatment, vacuum stove, ceramics, food service industry, etc. Users want very much for instrument for automatic control to use arithmetic for simple configuration and setting. Advanced temperature controller and complex multi-function controller in market are not satisfied by users at present. We try to design an intelligent instrument which is general purpose, high reliability, high capability and low price to adapt for the requirement of market. In this paper, we introduce some methods which are based on ARM7 LPC2290 microprocessor and real-time embedded operating system ( μC/OS_ II) for data acquisition and temperature control. Real-time embedded operating system (μC/OS_ II) make sure that the embedded systems have the capacity of real-time operation and control. And we also use RS-232-C to communicate with computer. Meanwhile we use LABVEEW to receive data, process data and display the curve. We use LabSQL to store and query data. Finally, some main program is provided. Our research work is focus our attention on designing circuits which are JTAG interface circuit, thermocouple and RTD input circuit, output circuit, RS232 interface circuit, display circuit, power circuit, reset circuit, ADC circuit, etc. We also design interrelated software, arithmetic for control and software of monitor are included. The intelligent instrument has wide scale, simple configuration and easy to extend it's function on hardware. It has excellent robust and high precision on control arithmetic. At the end of this paper, we also discuss some problem during making the intelligent instrument into product. Moreover, we bring forward the farther research direction. |
