| Along with the widely application and popularization of high performance, low power loss MC9S08 series which newly promoted by Freescale semiconductor Inc., the paper thoroughly studied the MC9S08 Background Debug Mode (BDM), and analyzed MC9S08 Background Debug Module's work principle, in order that electronic engineers use the MC9S08 series MCU in their embedded applications more quickly, conveniently and reliably to fully exert the MCU's functions. Then the paper provided the developing plan of BDM debugging tool supporting for MC9S08 series, which is compatible with the integrated development environment CodeWarrior provided by Freescale semiconductor Inc. Also the paper provided the design and implementation of the BDM debugging tool from the aspect of overall design, hardware design and software design. After thoroughly studied the MC9S08 monitor routine, a set of command interface and communication protocols provided for the BDM debugging functions are put forward, which can successfully solve the problem of compatible with CodeWarrior, the integrated development environment. Finally by using the communication function bunch to solve the problem of communication with multi-bus frequency target MCU, BDM debugging tool used for MC9S08 the series MCU in the CodeWarrior integrated development environment is implemented. |
