Currently, disregarding our China and the whole world, the broadband business is develpting into the broadband, totalization and fibre-optical. With the the great application in long-distance network , metropolitan area network and the access network,in order to realize the effective development, telecom operators should introduct the fiber to the connected lines of the s access network,so as to realize the FTTH.The issue that the research and impletation of FTTH based on EPON adopts the technique of Ethernet passive optical network. It can realize the triple-play business of data , VOIP and IPTV,It can also have the function of certain operation, maintain and management. The work can be summarized as follow: It is described that the technology in the physical layer. The critical technology(MPCP) is discussed in detail. The structure of EPON is composed of the OLT being located in the central office and the ONU being located in the user side. The OLT and the ONU can communicate mutually,But the ONUs can not communicate with each other. MPCP is able to transmit datas efficiently among the OLT and the ONU. It discussed the method of dynamic bandwidth distribution. The system of OLT and ONU is controlled by the microprocessor of MPC852T. This system can update the firmware of ONU in the terminal of OLT. In thi article ,The hardware links between the PAS6201 and MPC852T, The hardware links between the PAS5001 and MPC852T and the system software are described.. At last,we used the network tool of SMARTBIT measure the parameters of the Latency , the Frame loss, the value of Back to Back and the Throughput. These terrifies the feasibility of this system.
