At present, Internet has been developing at a rapid speed in our country. Internetserves the public with massive information every day, its reliable operation becomes thenecessary precondition of enterprises' normal production and people's life. All of thisdepends on the high efficient processing of network information. Nowadays, there are alot of display ways to collect and analyze the network information, which are almostbased on the text formatting with lacking of straightforwardness. It will certainly affectthe processing efficiency of network information. Consequently, we must seek a moreeffective visual technology to deal with the network information while the networktechnology and application market are developing in such a fast way.Geographic Information System(hereafter GIS) is the spatial information systemfor gathering, storing, managing, analyzing and describing the related data in Geospatial, with the main features of information visualization and spatial analysis. Applying GIStechnology in the macroscopic network information processing can achieve the networkinformation visualization, improve its real-time and intelligent performance. In this way,we can remedy the weakness of the conventional network information processing. The subject of this thesis is from the project——Macroscopic Network SecurityAlarm And Emergency Response System. I study data storage technology, dataintegration technology, MapX component technology of GIS, visual technology, andbased on these technologies state the visual processing technology of the macroscopicnetwork information. With the design and application of the Macroscopic NetworkSecurity Alarm And Emergency Response System, the feasibility of the technology isverified. This system integrates the MapX component of GIS and the Visual Basic asthe secondary development platform to combine the attribute data and the spatial datatogether, and uses the Oracle Spatial to manage the spatial data. The system couldfinally apply the net node information visual processing, network security alarm and theemergency response information visual processing, electrical map operation etc.Compared to other non-visual network information management, applying GIS in macroscopic network information processing improves its processing efficiency andoperation simplicity. It provides a new way for the macroscopic network informationprocessing.
