The system can make the large traffic information on hand yield well, and give effective analytic method Lo traffic management policymaker.Traditional analytic methods almostly are based on normal data type in database, usually give traffic management policymaker a lot of data tables, but traffic management policymakers can not find relations among these tables in short time at all, often bungle the chance of deciding policy. The reason is "table" , this kind of expression for information, is so abstract and lopsided that massive valuable information are ignored and final analytic result for traffic management policymaker is one-legged(statistical figures show: 85% databases have geographical attribute data, such as urban road, traffic volume, traffic signs and markings and so on ). Geographic information technology , just like Maplnfo, is the solution of remeding the defect, The technology combines geographic information and database perfectly, provides an overall spatial analytic methods, excavates database information to a maxinmum. and finally on the electronic map , through these analytic methods policymaker may find out much importance information that can not acquire past, and has a strong support to make policy.This paper using Maplnfo Geographic Information System Tool, MS Access Database System and VB programming language, combining plentiful professional knowledge, Through integrated second development, deeply analyses processing technology of several typical urban road traffic information in GIS, designs and realizes data write, data maintenance, data inquire, analyse and process, data print and so on, processes Spatial data and Attribute data of urban road traffic information correlative, and according to the need of Geographical Information System, divides all the urban traffic management business into four systems, include traffic basic facilities management system, public transit management system, traffic survey management system, traffic order management system, every system has several sub-systems, thus dctailizc urban road traffic management business.The processing methods of urban road traffic information this paper concerned can give a good reference on GIS development in traffic management of public security.
