Computer Interface Experiment Platform For Research And Development,

During the process of teaching and learning Computer Interface Technology course, it is very necessary to do experiments. As the rapid advance of Computer Interface Technology, experiment instruments provided by the market do not completely meet the present requirement of teaching and learning. Aimming at the defects of present Computer Interface Experiment Instruments, and referencing advices and requirements to experiment instruments from teachers who have taught for many years, this topic designed and implemented elaborately new Computer Interface Experiment Instrument with the use of Moduling structure.This experiment platform is implemented with the used of 51 series micro-controller of C8051F120 made by Cygnal Corp. Since many functional partion components are integrated inside C8051F120, the design plan much lowers the complexity and the cost of target system, simultaneously the system reliability is also improved. With the experiment platform, we can do experiment of extending peripherals for microcontroller, in addition to the traditional ones of serial ports, parallel ports, USB etc. and we do so without any extra device. Moduling Software Designs make each interface experiment be independent each other. The platform owns one big LCD of 320×240, so we can print 15 row and 20 column HanZi with dot array of 16×16 at one time. what's more, it has also one little keyboard. With the visual Menu and convenient Keyboard, it will be very easy and intuitional to manipulate it.In article,firstly we illustrate the defects of traditional Computer Interface Experiment Equipments used by present teaching, and discuss the feasibility to develop the new-style Experiment Apparatus; Secondly, we state how to make choice of the micro-controller adopted in target system, and show the Logic Block Diagram of target platform; Then, we analyse and design the software system of target system from the view of Module design. Because the interaction between the apparatus and user is realized with the use of HanZi display in LCD, we describe in detail the design and implementation of HanZi library and related hardware module driver.We describe the Parallel Port simply. In the end of the article, we depict the cognition to USB technology, and provide the rudimental design and implement of USB software driver.
