Based on analyzing the development and tendency of interface technique, the generalized interface is presented in this paper, which is following the design principles-high speed, convenience, high reliability, cheapness. This interface makes the switching input/output and analogue input/output to use the same Enhanced Parallel Port by using the In-system Programmable Logic Device-isp1032E.By using the development software for the In-system Programmable Logic Device-isp1032E, 'the generalized interface can be made to exchange data with computer through the Enhanced Parallel Port with high transmission rate successfully.The program language Visual C++ is used to create the access function, which can be called by host program because the program language Visual Basic 6. 0 can not be used to access the registers of the Enhanced Parallel Port.The assistance circuit board is made by myself, which is used to test the interface. The results show that the interface downloaded in the In-system Programmable Logic Device-isp1032E and the driver programs for the generalized interface are executable.
