Design And Implementation Of Standard Interface Of Workflow Engine

Facing to developing status of Workflow cooperating, it is more and morenecessary for standardization of Workflow management system. The thesis aims todemonstrate the design and implementation of standard interface of Workflow Engine,based on the workflow engine—RRFloEng, compliant to WfMC Reference Model.Firstly, it introduces the general conception and theory of Workflow and direction ofWorkflow development to reason out demand for standardization of Workflowproduct, which is background and purpose of this thesis. In succession, it describesthe Workflow Reference Model regarded as a standard criterion and a genericworkflow management system, including the components, the functions, and thearchitecture of system. Secondly, it analyses our RRFIoEng in detail, researches thestructure and functions of the engine and the core dispatching mechanism. As thekeystone of the thesis, based on the RRFloEng as the foundation, it dissertates how todesign and implement the standard workflow application programming interface,according to classification of interface of Workflow Reference Model. Lastly, aimingat the implementation of Workflow Engine in the specified business applicationsystem, the author delivers the two actual cases which indicate respectively how touse the standard interface implemented in this thesis.
