Book Chain Business Model Research

China has a long history of book industry. Since the implementation of socialist market-oriented economy, joined WTO and economy globalization, Chinese people's demand for culture has been increased. In the recent years, the central government has paid much attention on developing culture industry including book industry and looks it as an national development strategy. So, book industry is facing a race developing chance. But the real situation is: The operating of Chinese book industry is still on a low level. A ripe modern operating mode of book enterprise has not been formed. Compared with the industrial scale and industrial level of developed countries, we still have a long way to go because the existing of large amount of problems in operating mode of book industry has resulted in poor competitiveness of book enterprise and book industry. For the time of introducing of chain operation which will become the main operating mode in book industry to China is very short, Chinese book enterprises still know not too much about it. There are still a lot of problems in daily managing, software and hardware construction, etc.. The gap of the overall operating level of book enterprises between Chinese and developed countries is still very large. This is closely related not only to the development even the existence of book chain enterprises, but also to the developing and existence of the whole book industry of China.In the thesis, the writer first reviews the theories concerning book operating and chain operating. Then, the developing situation of chain operating in China and foreign countries are analyzed and compared. After analyzing of the current situation of Chinese book industry, its outside environment and its developing trend, the writer points out that chain operating is the inexorable trend of Chinese book industry. In the main part of the thesis, the writer gives a minute analyzing on the six key problems which exist in Chinese book chain enterprises and puts forward his own proposal on solving these problems. In the end, the writer analyzes the current situation of operating mode of the book chain enterprise he works for and proposes his proposals.
