Today, the broadcasting & TV technology is changing from analog to digit in the world. Digital satellite communications provide a good transmitting flat for digital broadcasting because of its excellent signal quality, wide coverage and lower cost. Digital satellite broadcasting has been a main way to cover the whole country. Digital satellite broadcasting have become an important signal source of CATV in China. The main task of this paper is to design a digital satellite transmitting flat for six channels of Shandong People's Broadcasting Station to carry out the satellite digital transmission.First, the development and current state of satellite broadcasting in China is summarized in this paper. Second, the paper introduces the key technology and its standards of the digital satellite broadcasting system. On the basis of the satellite transmitting facilities of Shandong Earth Station, the design project of digital satellite transmitting flat is proposed by calculation and comparison. At last, the paper puts forward the selection and connection of equipments, system debugging and presents the testing result of the system.The present and future of the digital satellite broadcasting in China is thought adequately in the design project. The project is advanced and reasonable. The selection of the equipments is also universal and reliable. At the same time, it is easy to operate, maintain and upgrade. The design project entirely accords with the correlative technical standards.Now, the digital satellite transmitting flat has been put into running formally, and has gotten very good effect.
