| Digitization is the largest technologic reform since the naissance of broadcast & television industry. In 2003, State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) enacted the Total Development Project on broadcast business of Digital Cable TV, which definitely put forward that achieving the digitization of cable TV is the key and important task of broadcasting business development at present and in future. Meanwhile, crisis that caused by broadcasting sector depending on the single commercial revenue for a long time and emergence of some new mediums such as IPTV, which force broadcasting media to seek a new development direction. Based on an analysis of the exterior environment of Fujian Provincial Digital Cable TV and the interior data of Provincial Broadcast & TV Group, this article aims to explore a right way of thinking that conform to the developmental direction of digital TV operators, from perspectives of related strategic and analytic models to induce some feasible strategies.The article consists of four parts:Chapter One: Introduce the development of digital cable TV industry, analyze characteristic and tendency of the domestic and foreign digital TV.Chapter Two: Briefly introduce the history of Fujian digital cable TV, analyze the cause of deficit and loss of Fujian Provincial Broadcast & TV Group and summarize major questions that it faces.Chapter Three: Using the related strategic and analytic theories, comprehensively analyze the interior and exterior environment of Fujian Provincial Broadcast & TV Group.Chapter Four: Based on the above analyses, clearly define a suitable strategy for Fujian Provincial Broadcast & TV Group and establish strategic processes and measures. |
