Usb-based Data Acquisition System

Recently, with the rapid development of information technology, computer have come into the family, all kinds of peripheral equipments are coming forth. Traditional interfaces of peripheral equipments are mainly PCI, RS-232, RS-485 and SCSI. They have a same peculiarity that is each equipment need an exclusive interface on mainboard of computer. Therefore, it is essential that these peripheral equipments have a share interface. At the time, the advantage of USB (Universal Series Bus) was coming forth. USB is an important technology based on PC. In 1995, some PC had come forth with USB interface, but soft and hard device supporting USB is scarce. After 1988, with support from Windows 98 and more USB devices, USB interface was coming into practicality step by step.Simultaneously, the Digital Signal Processor (DSP) specially designed for high-speed digital signal processing is playing an important role in the digital field, and DSP with high processing speed and excellent operation performance is particularly adapted to rapid data processing.The content designs a kind of data process system based on USB and DSP. The system get over disadvantage of connection complexity, function singularity and cost upper on traditional device. It has the advantage of miniaturization, high integration, plug and play. The thesis analyzes the characteristic, the working principle and the means of the chip selection, and further more, bring forward a complete set of schemes, on this foundation, fulfills the hardware construction with the USB and DSP. The hardware construction includes peripheral circuits of DSP and USB chip, interface circuits between DSP and USB chip, etc.The hardware circuits include peripheral circuits of DSP and USB control chip and interface circuits between of the both.
