The Research On Signal Generator And High-Speed Data Acquisition System Based On USB2.0

Signal generator and data acquisition system is the electronic measurement instrument used widely in many fields such as modern electronic measurement and automatic control. It is the mutilfunction and high performance signal generator and data acquisition system which could meet user on special point that usually has shortcomings as high prices, difficult to install and poor expansibility. In order to meet the need of the laboratory project, a multifunctional signal generator and high-speed data acquisition system was developed based on USB2.0.The design of hardware and software are emphatically introduced. Hardware design includes whole structure, channel scheme and interface scheme. And software design includes firmware program, device driver program and application program. The device is small and easy taking. The software has friendly graphic interface and is easy to be used.The signal generator is able to send out many kinds of waveform like sine wave, rectangle wave, random impulse and random wave. The data acquisition's speed is up to 10Mbps which reaches mainstream level. The experiment proved that the hardware and software of signal generator and data acquisition system had met the design requirement. It has been applied to actual application in the laboratory project.
