Reading System Design, Based On The Zigbee Radio Table Set

ZigBee is a new global standard for wireless communications, with the characteristics of low-cost, low power consumption, low data rate. The ZigBee protocol based on 802.15.4 standard will be embedded in thousands of sensors, which can communicate easily with power-efficient . It has a good market in building automation and industrial controls.ZigBee technology is used adaptively in wireless meter reading system. However, the problems of power supply, implementing ZigBee stack and coordination of energy-saving mechanism at all levels and the automatic network formation, need to be solved in order to establish a system by means of ZigBee. This article puts emphasis on how to design the whole system and how to organize the software.GPRS technology is a mature technology.It has been used widely in remote wireless data transfer. It is easy to install and low-cost. And the system is no limit of time, area and distance, and no use of wires. We use the ZigBee in local network to transfer data and GPRS to transfer data in wide area network.Under these circumstances, the design of ZigBee wireless electronic meter reading system is my main target.The main contributions of the paper are as follow:In this paper, the author describes how to choose hardware and design the main circuit, the configuration that the data format should obey in application layer, the organization of the data structure in each layer. Meanwhile the author discusses the usability of the routing algorithum, points out some problems in using the routing algorithum, gives some suggestion on how to improve the efficiency of the algorithums. After that the auther discusses the program flow chart of the end-device and the ZigBee/Gprs gateway. At last, the author summarizes the result of some experiments and puts forth the future work.
