Tibet Newspaper Study

Tibet is one of the Nationality Municipalities in China, its newspapering development history is surely included in the history of Chinese Journalism, but, because of the reason in politics, location, history and so on, the newspapering of Tibet is a very special case in Chinese newspapering history. Compared with the newspapering of other provinces, Tibet newspapering has no advantages in quality, quantity, basement and newpapering tradition. It comes up in a very low level and very late, what is worse, the close location and inconvenient traffic makes the development more difficult.This paper starts on the analysis in the history and actuality of Tibet newspapering, then takes out several problems in Tibetan newspapering, and what is more, discusses on how the Tibetan newspapering survives and develops in the future. In word, this paper tries to 'read' Tibetan newpapering thoroughly.The 1st chapter is a overview of the whole paper, it mainly introduces the status of Tibetan newspapering in Chinese newspapering history, some important newspapers and periodicals, and research results of three scholars.The 2^nd chapter is the main part of this paper, the spreading mode of 'Tibetan&Chinese coexistence' is the most important emphases. Some Stat. shows that 92% of population in Tibet, which has the number of 2610000, is Tibetan. Tibetan is the current language of Tibetan nationality, so the newspaper in Tibetan language came into being and developed. At the same time, because of the special political status, the newspaper of Tibet has obvious function of political propagandsm.
