As a result of high price and wasted line in special line, Virtual Private Network has taken advantage in mobile office solution. Multi-Prorocol Label Switching can reduce network complexity and cost, implement quality of service, and assure security in data transporting. Multicast is an effect way to save bandwidth, which can ease the problem such as bandwidth cost and network press that video meeting and distributing compute bring in.The article brings in Sparse-Mode Multicast protocol into Multi-Protocol Label Switching Network. It defines a data drive mechanism to dynamic set up Label Switching Path and brings an improved label distributing mechanism to cut down cost of label. For the sake of applying PIM-SM in MPLS network, modify the data transmit process, and describe the multicast tree building course.When implementing in linux environment, first analyse the unicast implement in MPLS, then add multicast function. Extend the statement for operating data package, define protocol type for multicast frame, describe the new statement work process,and implement data package transmit process. Lastly provide API for further extending.Finally the article uses ns-2 to simulate the system, first introduces the ns-2 hiberarchy and function block, then expands it to support multicast in MPLS and introduces a simulator example.
