Cable Digital Tv Front-end Network Management System Design And Implementation

With the development of digital telecommunication technology, the system of radio,film and television is now digitalizing in the round. In the whole system, the digital TV(DTV) front-end is an important part in the TV digitalization, and many key digital equipments and technology are introduced in it, like digital satellite receivers,MPEG-2 digital encoders,TS multiplexers,digital modulators. The thesis is about the design and realization of the network management software on DTV front-end, which is a part of the DTV development leaded by Sichuan Video Electronic Ltd Corporation.According to the characteristic of DTV front-end system and its development in the future, the network management software is divided into two functional parts, one is the device server and the other is the user server. All the front-end equipments are managed by the device server, and the communication model between equipments and the device server is C/S structure base on TCP/IP protocol. The requests from users for browsing or modifying device parameters are managed by the user server, and the communication model between users and the user server is B/S structure based on TCP/IP protocol.In view of front-end equipments being characteristic of various types,many parameters and parameter code's variety with type, and after the analysis of parameter codes of various types, a suit of schemes on the deposit,display and modification of front-end equipment parameters are produced in the dissertation making use of the strongpoint of Delphi on the DB program. The schemes make the software explicit,readable and expandable.The network management software is implemented in Delphi 7 IDE.
