Usb-based Wearable Computer Interface Design

As a brand-new computational model and technology, wearable computer is developing by leaps and bounds and has become the research focus and one of the forelands of the computer field. It plays a very important role in such areas as industry, military affairs, intelligence, news, medicine, commerce, agriculture, finance and stocks, emergency as well as in our daily life. Wearable computer is one of the concerned tasks in the foreland of computer technology.At present, there are such problems as too many cables, poor wearability and usability in wearable computer with the converntional interface structure model, thus it cannot meet the requirements in the diverse application circumstances. The task for my research is try to find a solution to the contradition between the defects of conventional interface technology and the demand diversification of wearable computer application.During the design, for the inheritance of current technology and for consideration of compatible hardware platform, this research is prone to utilize much mature and universal technologies and protocols in the choice of bottom hardware technology, in order to enable wearable computer to obtain more functional support to improve the universalism, wearability and reliability.Through the research and comparison of interface structure model, I would find the solution to the above-mentioned contradiction. In this design, I'd like to introduce the peripheral bus to the wearable computer interface design. We can connect peripherals to the bus through the BOX which is on peripheral bus and in so doing we can realize the control and regulation of the bus. According to this design, we can use the USB as the peripheral bus of wearable computer, making the connection of equipments to the host computer convenient and rapid.In my practise stage, I design the USB transformation models with USB-RS232 module and USB-CF module, and finish the relevant circuit designs and firmware programming. To verify the correctness of USB transformation model, I devise a test. The test result shows that my design successfully fulfils the task and reaches the aim.
