Wearable Computer System Interface And Carrying

As a kind of wearable micro personal mobile computing system, wearable computer extends the intelligence and apperceive abilities of people through various functional units, and the interfaces'design will definitely bring some influences on the extensibility, wearability and operability of the whole system.This dissertation, being parts of the subject construction and the former researches of the"863"program,mainly aims at interface project and carrying technology designing of wearable computer, with the demand of reconfiguration and wearability.Based on the status quo of the interface technology, this paper puts forward an approach on the basis of the USB interfaces project focusing on the Linux system and the platform of PXA270. To avoid the disadvantage caused by multi-interface, such as multi-wire, difficulty of integrate, large-space occupied, etc. the system mainly adopts functional units with USB interface, and designs non-USB to USB interface converter to meet the need of other interface devices.This approach indeed satisfies some requirements such as wearability, configurability and operability.According to this approach, excluding the voice and display interfaces, most peripheral equipments of a WearComp, such as camera, GPS, wireless network card, should be connected through USB interfaces. In order to apply these peripheral equipments into the Linux system, the first and foremost task to do is to realize the design of USB driver. Thus, this thesis concentrates on the realization mechanism of device drivers of USB host-side under the Linux system with the purpose of realizing the driver of a USB wireless network card.For wearable computer with distributing interface structure, waistcoat is the best wearable fashion. At the latter part of this paper, it centers on some related researches in designing a carrying waistcoat, including the positions and methods of wearing, and the design of cables, etc. Finally, a suit of carrying waistcoat is successfully made, which is, according to tryout, easy to wear and operate with.
