This thesis that makes researches on the realization of PWE3 based on MPLS, has finished two tasks: the one is the development of the PWE3 lower system integrated software, the other is doing further research on PWE3 based on MPLS with simulation experiments.During the development of PWE3 lower system integrated software, there are some strict software development steps, e.g. Requirements Analysis, General Design, Detailed Design, Coding, Test and so on. At requirement analysis stage, two different Pseudo Wire services (EPW and APW) both need to be analysed according to custom's requirements. At general design stage, all necessary functionality modules are designed for Pseudo Wire process, and explained by particular diagrams. At detailed design stage, we have finished the realizations of all kinds of algorithms in each function module which refers to many aspects, e.g. process flow, table operation, flux control, basic hardware operation and so on. At unit test stage, different Pseudo Wire services would be tested by the extensive test cases.During the simulation researches, different simulation experiments are carried out to fulfill various simulation purposes. Projectl is an experiment which proves the feasibility that PWE3 project based on MPLS would be feasible in its suitable applications. The purpose of Project2 is analyzing the PWE3's effect quantitatively on network performance. Project3 is designed to make further research on the algorithm of assigning shared bandwidth dynamically on PWE3 network. This thesis proposes a new SDGP algorithm in order to solve the problems of assigning shared bandwidth. According to the principle of SDGP, the realization of SDGP system is also researched. At last, the SDGP simulation program has finished with awk language. Then the simulation experiments are performed all right with the SDGP simulation program. The analysis of the simulation results indicates that SDGP algorithm could be more effective and more efficient, and it is proved by experiments the SDGP method is easily operable, reasonable, flexible and timely in assigning shared bandwidth on PWE3 network.
